How to Change the Color of Your WarCraft ID

Changing the color of your World of Warcraft ID is quite simple, although it does require downloading and installing one small mod. Once this is done, you can change the color to anything you desire so that both you and other plays can see your player with a custom-colored name plate.
tep 1  Download the mod "LanNameSpoofer.zip," and save it, being sure to note where you saved it. Note that this is a legitimate mod that does not break any of the rules set by World of Warcraft for custom mods.

Step 2  Unzip the file. It should automatically copy itself to the Addons folder in your World of Warcraft program. If it does not, use Windows Explorer to locate the Addons folder in your Program Files, and manually copy the files.

Step 3  Start World of Warcraft. After you login, hit "ESC" to bring up the Options menu. Click "Interface" to open the Mod menu, and then click "Lan Name Spoofer."

Step 4  Click "Choose color," and enter the HTML color code for the color of your choice. You can use the link below to find the code of the color you want.

Step 5  Click "OK," and restart your copy of World of Warcraft. The change will only occur after you restart the program.
